I haven't been out much looked at buying a M1 icon

Garand so I went to a gun show looked at mix masters with terrible stocks and the lowest prices I could find were $1500 I guess I won't be able to ever buy another Garand

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I just saw a pair of Garands at Cabela's. I looked them over just enough to noticed refinished shiny/varnished stocks, mismatched bolts, and a $1800 tag on each.
