    Seen on eBay UK

I noticed this canvas case on eBay UKicon with only a few minutes left on the listing. I wasn't aware that there was a canvas scope case as an alternative to the scope tin.

Yes, & it is a genuine one, too. In the last few years quite a lot of repro's have started to appear, at least here in the UKicon. Did it sell? I know the vendor, a nice young chap from Coventry. I mentioned to him that his prices were a little........err........stratospheric, & he agreed that might be the case, though added 'you can always come down, but not negotiate upwards'! Fair comment, I s'pose. Curious to know if his No15 transit chest sold. I never thought to watch it, though had a sneaky peaky at both the scope case & chest from time to time.

No the scope case didn't sell which I only came across by chance while looking for something else. As it only had a few minutes left I got the details while I could.

Roger, his transit chest didn't sell either. He's adjusted his starting price (now in the lower stratosphere) and relisted it.

One of these came to the small arms school in Gagetown NB when I was there, to be held as an antique by the sniper wing. It was an as new LB with everything, one of those scope cases holding it's scope. I thought it would actually be better than the tins.
    Regards, Jim

He's actually a decent lad. I think the prices came from a conversation he said he had with the son of an until recently fairly active forummer on this site. I gather son is a militaria dealer who works mainly on line, & who told my friend that he'd sold a transit chest for 1,800 quid. I wish I had a few more punters like his! Mine always seem to have short arms & deep pockets.......

Yep, things always seem expensive if I want to buy an item but not worth much if I want to sell the very same item.
