I was wondering the same thing, but a young pup like me would never question an old dog like Warren. 
The top left corner of the 5/6 doesn't look sharp, so I was guessing 46.
This is what some collectors refer to as the type 3 marking. This can be found on both 45 and 46 dated receivers. Note the IN after the 22, which is what is missing on one of the receivers I showed.

It's a 6, and after posting it I must admit it did look like a 5 and actually checked it again to be sure.
