I have a 3,172,xxx Inland with SG on the left side below the wood. I could be wrong, but I believe that these receivers were actually manufactured by Saginaw.

You are correct, Greg: those receivers were made by Saginaw under subcontract for Inland. The 3 marks used are big SG, small SG (what yours is), and SI.

Greg V,
The finish on your SG supplied receiver looks quite abit like this one I have. Has some roughness to the lower side and similiar color,

Yea, mine is the same way. It seems like I read something about that somewhere. I got mine back in July 2007. It was a CMP
