    I bought it

I made an offer of the going price,
ie the rough price the last 2 I have seen went for.
And well SHE accepted the offer. And offered me a guarantee.
Well my offer did save me 300 quid. Dont ask dont get........

As you can see if you read correctly it is a LADY who sold it and that
explains the dresses being sold on HER site.
The scope has come from a collector.

No 32 scopes are like hens teeth here in Franceicon along with the 4Ts.
So I dont mind paying a bit for something I want.

    regards to all David

I dont think you paid to much - in 12 months you will look back and think "that was a cheap price".

Have you got a 4T to put it on, or is that your next purchase ?

I friend of mine reckons that one never pays too much, one only 'buys too early'. I can remember saying: "I'm not paying twenty bloody quid for a Luger Holster" and "I'm not paying fifty bloody quid for a No5 bayonet.", etc., etc,, etc.

The last 3 scopes i have seen all sold or were advertised for UNDER £700. My friend was watching one advertised for £750 which wasn't sold last time he looked. I spoke to the guy/girl about this scope and it ended not a very nice conversation. I just pointed out that i felt the advert was miss leading or less politely full of bollox's.
If these scopes are so thin on the ground, how comes there are currently 3 on ebay, and a counted at least 10 complete, boxed rifles spread about the gun trader , gun seller sites in the UKicon this week priced between £2500 and £3500. At what point are there more 4T's about then people that want them?? Everyone i know who loves them.......Has one already !! (or two)

    Just an observation !

The last 2 I watched in the last few weeks on ebay went for justn over 1.200 each.
The prices are what they are.......
We have all helped in some way to get them up there.
    You buy what you want.
Just look at the cost of getting a mark 1 or 2 ford escort.
You want one you pay the money. The same with any classic car or other collectible item.
I have been piped at the end of many a sale trying to buy a 32 scope many times because I just wanted one but at a bargain price, so I ended up with NONE till now, when I made an offer....saved 300 on the buy it now price... nothing ventured nothing gained..... In the end if it is ebay BYERS and SELLERS that are setting the prices..; supply and demand. I think that at 1250 I have got myself a good scope and stopped the price yet again being pushed up.

I am glad you got what you wanted!!
Personnally i cant justify these kind of prices, especally when they are avalible out there. I waited for one for 6 months, but when i did get one it was, well, lets say i got at a sensible price !!
Best of luck with yours, get it to Peter Laidlericon to get it sorted/cleaned/refinished (and the missing screw put back) you wont regret it !!

My scope is to used in competition, 200meter sniper.
On our 200meter indoor range less than 5 min from my door.
I was departmental champ and gained an entry to the Frenchicon nationals when the open metal site version was started, using a an 8X64 98K.
but for the last few years I have been judging the comp and helping others to shoot properly.

    The scope arrived today .

    The No 32 mk11 arrived.
Yes it is missing the position screw, easy replacement as it has been unscrewed and not broken.
The optics are super clear, even with my very bad eyesight I can see superbly.
No damage worth noting an paint not bad.
AND it has an original rear sun shade fitted, an added bonus as I was not expecting it and have never seen one except for a rubber one on a No 42. I understand that they were fitted at times to the No32 mk1 and to a very few mk11s.

Ok the price was high but I am still happy.
I don't feel I am going to loose.

If you're happy, that's all that matters ...

Can't tell you the amount of times that someone has said I've overpaid for something, but I don't give a sh$$, I hug and enjoy it anyway ...

    Regards,
    Badger
