New Forums ........
During the last several months, we've received several requests to add new forums.
Last month we brought on-line the Soviet Bloc Rifles Forum (click here) and The Ross Rifle Forum (click here).
This month, upon request by a number of members, including Peter Laidler
, we've added The Bren LMG Forum (click here) for discussion by serious collectors of Bren LMG (Light Machine Gun), accessories, ammunition, and accoutrements, as well as German Service Pistols Forum (click here) for discussions about German service pistols. ie: Lugers and P-38's etc .....
Let's try these new forums for a few months to see if there's enough interest to maintain them on-line. Their future will depend upon the membership promoting and utilizing them, so do whatever you can to find and post interesting discussion material to build content.
We hope you enjoy these new additions to the Military Surplus Collectors Forums.
Regards,
Badger

Hi Badger,
As a Canadian
I appreciate the Ross Rifle Forum although I do not collect this rifle at the moment. IMHO its fitting to see a forum about a historical Canadian made firearm, besides copies of other countries weapons made by Long Branch and Inglis, here on Milsurps.com.
With respect to the Soviet
Bloc Weapons Forum I would suggest adding Moisn Nagant to the description as there seems to be an interest in discussing this rifle in this forum. If there was a way to incorporate the CZ 858 into the forum, though not a real milsurp, it is a copy of the Vz 58 and might be of interest to Canadians as you are aware we cannot legally own AKs, Dragunovs or their variants. This forum also might serve as a home for discussion of Finnish
and Yugoslavian copies of Soviet weapons, although neither country was a member of the Soviet Bloc.
I'm also wondering if there would be an interest in a separate forum for other countries military handguns such as Nambus, Weblys, Radoms, Tokarevs and Nagents - what do you think?
Just my $0.02. Thanks.

What I'm getting at is that the VZ is a prohibited weapon in Canada
, what is sold in Canada is the CZ 858. It might seem like splitting hairs but to the casual observer 3 out of the 4 rifles mentioned in the Forum header are not legal in Canada (AK, VZ, Dragunov) So unless you own a SKS or a MN you might not choose to look there especially when the CZ is not a Soviet
weapon.
As it is, there is only one thread in the forum right now discussing the VZ. Yes if you read the thread you will see references to the CZ 858 but that's only if your so inclined to read a thread about a gun that you cannot own in Canada.
(though I don't pretend to represent all Canadians, for me discussion about the VZ is somewhat of a waste of time and usually a non starter).
In comparison there are many posts to the Milsurp forum on CGN about the CZ 858 and relatively few about the VZ (mainly 'what is the difference between the two?'). Having the CZ 858 specifically mentioned in the forum header here on Milsups.com might get more discussion going to the benefit of all.
Just my $0.02
