I'm checking out this bayonet for a WW2 Vet. He got it from his brother but doesn't recall where the brother got it from. We suspect it's Britishicon but would like to know era made-rifle it would fit and ballpark value

Scabbard is steel, round as is the blade. Approx 10" overall length with blued or blue/black finish. Marked at butt with No 4 MKII with a slanted B(?) underneath. Stamped with (Serial # ??) 0834 - Scabbard has no stampings.
