Here's a couple of newly available stock adaptors for those looking for an AR type stock for their VZs. Why would you consider this? Three major reasons, IMO. One, for the adjustable LOP of an AR telestock and two, the looks, and three, to put the stock in a "straight-line" configuration to reduce muzzle rise. The NEA adaptor will accept all AR stocks, including fixed ones.
First up, the North Eastern Arms railed stock adaptor. This piece is a "high-tube" setup, with the stock line even with the bore line. It has a milled Picatinny rail section on the top which is on the same plane as the NEA railed upper handguard. NEA will also be coming out with a railed piece that fits ahead of the gas block and clamps around the barrel. This piece will also be on the same plane as the handguard and stock adaptor, allow for the placement of AR back-up sights fore and aft with the handguard free for optics.
It's one piece with a single mounting bolt.
Overall view with AR BUIS in place. The height of the tube does not allow use of the stock sights.
Next is the Rauch Tactical multi-height adaptor. It allows the mounting of an AR stock at various heights from inline with the bore to lower than the factory stock.
Adaptor plate mounted with stock cup attached at second lowest position. I did take my Dremel to the sharp corner and top edges to round them off. When running the stock fully collapsed my nose would occasionally contact the sharp bits.
