Here's acleaning rod I can't identify. It's a loose one that I acquired a long time ago, but I've since forgotten why I needed it or why I got it. It seems to be a standard Mosin rod, except for the ring around it, about 4 inches down from the head. The threads are Russianicon. It's marked with a small star and what appears to be the letter"R", which normally means it's a Finn rod, but it's very indistinct so could be something else.
Dimensions are 25.19 inches long, .192 diameter, .277 head diameter.
Any ideas?
