    I don't ever remember marking or seeing a UKicon military rifle marked US, beyond the obvious US property mark. We marked ours with various letters, such as ZF or ZF UF (beyond repair even at factory level and unfit to fire) or Y-BER.
    We wouldn't (?) stamp the metal because US might indicate 'unserviceable' but simply because of a simple fault. Once the fault had been put right, the US mark would have to be filed/linished out and the weapon re-finished!
