Romanian Trainer with a difference

I recently got this at an estate sale. It was described as a "Romania Rifle".




It has what appears to be a somewhat heavier and longer barrel then the usual M69 Romanian trainers that I've seen. It also has sights that appear to be finely adjustable for both windage and elevation. Also, this one is dated 1957, well before the M69's were made.

The description was: SN 1957-15510 Romania Unknown Model 22 cal. Rifle

Anyone know anything about these "Romania Rifles"?
