the ebay "parts" that were pulled ... went to a good home

well I was the one who ended up with all the m1 carbine parts. I took a risk that the receiver alone was usable and the rest of the parts were repo. well to my suprise everything is legit. after emailing the seller turns out he bought this stuff from an estate sale and didnt know what he had.. it is basically a diaassembled m1 carbine minus the barrel and stock.. I have all other parts including the stock metal.. all marked IP or S'G'.. plus a few extra parts.. once in a while I guess it is good to gamble.. AND WIN!

along with all these parts I got extra : 4 triggers, 1 flat bolt , 4 sights, 1 type II and IIA dogleg hammers, 6 mag catches and 3 push saftys and a few other parts. all in all I think i did ok..

I thaught at first it might be a refinished receiver but after looking at the punch mark in the metal. it is NEW unused.. all the parts are!! and some of you might wonder where the parts came from?? just north of grand rapids Michigan..

I do have one question about the receiver.. it has all the looks of the early IP receiver but serial is 35568XX and marked S'G'.. and isnt this into the regular SG serial range??

    any help will be appreciated

here are two quick pics of the lot
