The first M1911 book I bought was the soft cover edition of Clawson's Collector's guide from 1993. At the time (late 90's) it and the big book were out of print and it cost me $200. Since then I have acquired the big book and I just got a copy of the hard cover Collector's guide from 2003.

Since the hard cover version seems to completely supersede the soft cover one, I no longer have a need for the soft cover one, on the other hand it takes up very little shelf space and it doesn't eat much, so I have no great need to get rid of it either. So it comes down to; is it worth anything as a collector's item in its own right, and I should sell it, or does it have very little value and I should keep it?
