What Gives?

I love my super accurate 1909 swedish mauser and have been shooting 120 grain match kings over 35.5 grains of Varget, or for reduced loads, I've been shooting the match kings over 13.5 grains of Trail Boss. Both work quite well and are very accurate.

Recently, I picked up some 150 grain Lyman cast lead gas checked bullets, and tried loading them over Trail Boss. These bullets look like little torpedoes. Also, it looked like I needed to seat the bullets deeper, but I didn't feel like it was safe to go under 3.00" loa. I'll try to show a pic tomorrow. Well, every round key-holed and flew wherever it wanted to. My reloading experience is limited so I thought I'd ask you guys what's up.

Other suggested loads for the 150 gr cast bullets? And what about seating depth?

Greetings to everyone
