I thought this would get a quick answer on the CMPicon board about this, but after 60 views and 0 responses, I'll try it here.

Does anyone know when the tip of the barrel band spring was changed from a "rounded" tip to an "angle cut" tip? I had never seen the angle cut type until I bought a few. Photo below. Thanks.
