Was at the Birmingham International on sunday (21/11/10), not much regarding bargains apart the from the ones I picked up, seen a few quillion 1907,s but were rough.

Seen two P1888 Mk1 first type, one was not too bad, but for £280 I give it a miss the other had seen better days regarding the blade and was £95.

It seems the price of the p1888 is on up, a few dealers asking around £140- £150 for some examples and they weren,t the best condition.

On the second lap, the bargains started to crop up, first was a RFI SLR bayonet with the long blade and a No4 spike with the plastic scabbard (bayonet still is covered in the storage grease), I would normally give these a miss, but at the price I paid would of been daft to walk away from them (need to expand the collection at some point)
Next up where two p1888 Mk 1 second type, not the best condition but one was marked RM ( Royal Marines) also appears an N on the opposite side (naval issue ? )

This come with a scabbard, but this belonged to the other P1888 I bought (numbered only).
Both from the same dealer, he had swapped bayonets, to get a better price for the RM marked one, got the two for £65 so cant complain.
