    My Inland #882766 M1 Carbine

I recently purchased an Inland #882766 M1icon Carbine. I think it is pretty much original except the Type V slide. I think it needs a Type IV slide based on Riesch's book. It is a Saginaw built Inland receiver with a SG stamped on the side. Should I swap the slide to a type IV or could the Type V be correct?
