When you start a basic auction and a bidder meets your price, the item is sold. I would be packing it up if I were you.
Having someone bid and win it, and then paying all the selling fees, not trying to claim non-paying bidder, then buying it back from him is not shill bidding. Shill bidding is to intentionally drive up the price of an item to increase a sales value. Gun Broker gets their fees. That would be his penalty to keep the gun. maybe or maybe not worth it.
Personally I think just letting the sale go through it's course, he will get a fair value for it. Probably more then it is worth.
