    A stolen 92/96

I want you guys to just look what that lucky dog madsenshooter just scored: Springfield Model of 1892 (1894 Dated) Kragicon Rifle : Antiques / pre-1899 at GunBroker.com

This time around, he's already been in touch with the reputable dealer. The bird isn't in hand, but it's official according to auction terms. I hope madsen's grandson learns to appreciate these things! His max bid was $657! I should have registered and topped his bid! Wasn't thnking...

The rifle is 116 years old this month! I can't say for sure, but it appears it may have seen the bluing tank before it got surplused. Madsen has an 1892 handguard, the type that doesn't cover the receiver ring, and I have a use for an orange 1896 handguard, which this appears to have on it. Good deal all around for us!
