I was at a local show today and ran into guy selling several Arisakabayonets. Prices ranged from $89-120 depending on conditions and he said he could give me a deal. He seemed an honest guy, but I don't trust myself to spot a repro (especially with something that is SUPPOSED to be of Asian manufacture).
Are there some obvious red-flags (other than 'too new?') I only have GunBroker as a guide; fair price range for bayonets in scabbards? I have a Type 38.
He gave me his card so I can find him again.
He also had original cleaning rods for $65 and period ammo on stripper clips. I don't personally go in for vintage ammo, but the rods were interesting. I just can't bring myself to pay almost a 1/3rd of what I paid for the rifle!Information
