gents,
from a range friend I purchased some 303 ammo, a sealed box and a hand of loose rounds.
it's all headstamped "A AI 59" even the rounds in the box which is marked 61.
(leave it to the dutch to do strange things)
with it I was given a box of 174gr bullets.."maybe you can reload it" ..no such luck ..it's berdan primed.
I took a magnet and separated the lot in 3 piles..
magnetic, non magnetic and non magnetic silver-grey
opened 2 bullets with a beltgrinder.
took the magnet to the rounds.. although headstamped the same the round in the box were non magnetic.. the loose rounds magnetic.
questions:
- can I shoot the copperwashed steel mantel rounds and bullets without damaging my barrel.?
- whats the silver white material..?
- do you crimp at the "cannelure" which means a 82 mm long cartridge? or does it go halfway in the neck?Information
