I had some LC 52 head stamped carbine ammo that was chinese berdan corrosive primed, it all had steel core bullets.

My question is "did US manufactured legitimate LC 52 Korean War era 30 carbine ammo use steel core bullets? The reason I ask is that I have two bandoleers full of LC 52 marked ammo with stripper clips and if memory serves me correctly - at one time I pulled a bullet on a round from each bandoleer and if I remember correctly it was boxer primed. However, the other day I did a magnet test on the ammo and found that the bullets are all steel core?
