With all the chat on here about No.1 Mk5s recently I took mine to the range yesterday for the first time. I was only shooting at 50 yards but the rifle was still stringing over maybe 2 -3inches over 10 shots. Before the howls of "Horrible shooting" arrive there was no horizontal difference between shots, just a nice vertical line which stopped after about 20 rounds. Maybe my eyes took a wee while to adjust as Id just been shooting a No.Mk3 with open sights, but also maybe there is some contact with the wood and heat is effecting how the wood bears on the barrel or action such that as it got hotter it fired slightly higher. Is the action bedding on a No.1 Mk the same as a No.1 mk3. Is there anything obvious I should look for if I take it apart?Information
