Lenses on the repro scopes I have autopsied are glass and appear to be good quality. The repro scope lenses on my samples were flint and crown glass compound lenses but not sure of the spec's. I'm going to run them in my optical bench in the next while and check the focal length as compared to the original 32 lenses and the new ones I have made for No. 32, Mk.1 repairs. The originals and the ones I get made are spot on so I will have a standard. The lenses I get are ZF8 and QF3 (I'll check the Shotts tables and check the equivalent) with a surface quality of 60/40, surface precision 1 Lambda and multilayer AR coating at 400 - 700 nm. I prefer no coating but they do it anyhow. A language problem there I can tell you.
Once I run the repro lenses through further tests I'll report here and give the full skinny on them, but they do look and work well. The movements on the repro scopes: that's another thing.
