    Tulsa Gun Show

I have just returned from the Tulsa Gun Show with a big smile on my face

The show was truly very big with I estimate 40% of the tables displaying military and collectible weapons. The people were very polite and friendly and if you are a US collector, there was a lot for you to see.

For the collector of Britishicon and Commonwealth weapons I spotted quite a few interesting pieces and was able to acquire two nice items for my collection:

the first item was a swift trainer, in excellent condition, in its original box, complete with target frame. (now all I need is some of those panoramic targets!)

the second item is a No.4 Mark 1 skeletonised rifle, also in very good and original condition.

Items noted but not acquired were:

    1. P13 rifle in excellent condition
    2. P14 sniper rifle with matching scope in excellent condition
    3. Trials rifle sniper - questionable restoration with mismatched scope
    4. 1941 BSA sniper rifle that looked all correct but missing all the tell tale H&H marks. Had a No.32 Mark 3 scope that was mismatched with it - package sold for $2700 complete with chest and scope can.
    5. A Colt 1911 in .455 auto caliber - asking $3500

The normal smattering of No.1 and No.4 rifles, but not many.

All in all, a great show - just make sure you take good walking shoes as it takes a full 8 hour day to cover the show in a single pass.
