Since 1/2 my google results while researching about M1icon Garands lead me to your fantastic forum, I thought I'd try my hand at a question I can't figure out.

I have an opportunity to buy a Garand offered as being correct. The cartouches confuse me as it has a circle P without serifs, a small ordnance wheel and an RIA EB all on the stock.

I thought the circled P without serifs was used by Winchester or HRA, or is it somtimes used in an ordanance rebuild?

I'm confused about the small ordnance wheel with the sans serif P. Help me understand how and when they were used together.

Lastly, shouldn't a 'correct' rifle have a stock with one of SA's cartouches and not an RIA EB cartouche?

Here's some pics...

Thanks for the help!
