While looking around a shop today I came across an interesting Type 99. I didn't have a camera on hand (and wonder if the owner would even let me take photos, ha!) but I made a mental note of everything on the rifle. It was a gun they had on consignment, so I don't think the price has much room for negotiation. It was listed at $695, but the shop owner said $650 was more likely. Anyway, here are the facts:

-Nagoya Series 4 Type 99
-Intact Mum
-Original monopod (had a good deal of pitting and some wear on the stock where it has been folded over the years. Seemed legit to me)
-AA-Sights still intact
-Matching numbers on bayonet lug, bolt handle, extractor. I didn't look at the safety or firing pin.
-Bore looed nice and chrome-lined, as was the bolt face.
-Long cleaning rod (and the stock had was the type that had the button to release it)
-Stock looked unmessed with, but HEAVILY used. Couldn't see any markings on the wrist where the little cartouche would be, but that's because there are alot of scratches and genuine wear from use.
-Original rubber (?) sling, while pretty dry, seemed to be in good condition.
-Straight quillon "National Denki under Kokura supervision" bayonet with a sheath included
-Some random reloading equipment with around 25 reloaded Norma casings

Now the negative:
-No dust cover
-Stock was heavily worn (but didn't look refinished)
-Many of the screws seemed buggered with (I guess someone didn't know they were staked, which is a shame!)
-There was also a random washer-type thing (I can't remember what this type of washer is) on the barrel in front of the barrel band. Not sure why it's there but maybe it was holding something in place.

I know it's difficult to guess the value of a rifle based solely on description, but I tried to explain it the best I could, ha! Any idea on the possible value of the entire package? I figure the sling would be worth $150 and a nice bayonet would be $75ish?

Like I said, the shop has it listed for $695, but would let it go for $650 and it's on consignment. I don't think it's worth that much but I thought I should ask. I also thought it was niffty that the serial number ended in "494" and my 5th series Nagoya ends in "495", ha! Anyway, opinions? Thanks guys!
