    Outward appearance says it is original but some shots of the parts inside would secure that belief for sure. If you are not comfortable taking it apart then don't. Leave it together because regardless of it being original or not it is a fine Inland M1icon carbine. Thank you for sharing it with us and welcome to the site. Enjoy.
