    The picture of DC27118A caught my eye. When I was a cadet in south London in 1959/60, "my" issued No.4 Mk 1 rifle was DC25091A. But it had a Mk 1 backsight and was one of our shooting (as opposed to drill use) rifles.
    Don't ask me why, after 52 years, I can still remember the number!
