I recently nabbed an ERA P-14 at an auction. The stock is solid and the metal looks good, but it is finished in what looks like black enamel paint. I've got several Enfields and the finish on this P-14 closely matches the finish on some of my Enfields.

I've also got several other P-14's that have a more traditional blued finish, which is what I assumed the American manufacturer's used. Did the Britishicon refinish these at some point with the black paint? If so, what did they use and how did they apply it?

Thanks
