Hi, this is my first post. I’ve been reading a little on the site and thought I would jump in.

I have a question. I have a M1903 Gallery Practice Rife (Hoffer-Thompson). The S/N is 629856. The barrel is stamped SA 11-16. It has a 2 bolt S stock with no inspector’s mark and no proof mark. There is an O where the inspector’s mark should be and a 1/8” high O in the cut-off recess.

I’m looking at Campbell’s book and think the proper stock should be a 1 bolt with a J.S.A. inspector’s mark and maybe or maybe not a proof mark. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
