After many years I've finally bit it and bought an M1icon. I ordered a SA field grade from DCM and was sweating my parsimony. I got it last three days ago, a 800,000 serial number (1942), milled trigger guard, about 90% blue, re-barreled in 1961 (HR). The stock is dinged but no cracks. The best part 1-2 me and 3 te. I cleaned it up greased it and took it to the range today. Man, it shoots good and when the I finished the first clip, pit-ting, every head turned to look.

What a sweetheart. I'm getting another. Maybe I'll spring for a correct grade.

Did I just catch something?
