Just picked up an all matching Lithgow. Every bit of this example matches, barrel, receiver, nosecap, stock, even the rear sight. Buttstock reads:
MA
LITHGOW
HV III
1941
Then 6 44
There is a 5 over the matching serial number as well as a 5 on top of the receiver. 5th military district?
Next to my Peddle Scheme, this is what appears to be the most original LE I own. And then I saw it............the feared Jon Jovino stamp barely visible on the right side of the charger bridge. I've always heard this lot put together rifles from bits and pieces. This however seems a legit firearm. Even the number under the bolt handle corresponds to the number on the receiver. Quite pleased with this 'un.Information
