i take this day to remember Bob Wislon.

Attachment 29208let me tell you about my friend Bob Wilson..great guy, worked as a street cop night shift Denver PD, when i first met Bob, i thought gawd what a jerk,,lol..seems birds of a feather flock together,
after talking with him i found out we had a lot in common, our love of old military weapons, and motorcycles turned us into good friends,
i worked as a bouncer in a rough Toppless bar, and Bob did our Bar checks, he was first class all the way, fair shake for the working man, a gang bangers worst nighmare, one story i remember about Bob, attempting to subdue a felon, as he stood on the running board of the suspects SUV as it raced down the street, Bob drew is Glock to put one through this jack asses head, and realized they were doing 50 MPH down the street..holstered his sidearm, and then tenderized said jackass..
anyway..Bob severed in Desert storm, and raised 2 boys by himself after his wife died of cancer, he married his long time GF,,and shortly afterwards, lost his life the day before Christmas eve, as he left work , hit on his motorcycle by a drunk driver, driver fled the scene and was captured by Bobs fellow officers.
i watched Bobs family deal with turning off life support as he lie in ICU...the drunk Driver, no Lic, No insurance, got just 10 years for murdering my friend...though still in uniform. he was off duty,
i wish the driver had got the electric chair, or life...
ill always remember Bob...he was a great guy, good cop, and a great friend..God speed Bob Wilson.
please take a momment to remember Bob, and otheres killed by drunk drivers...and remember it when you drink...please dont get behind the wheel.
