    Alexander Henry accidently shot his own son dead in 1860

    Apologies for the tabloid title, but I don't think this has been spotted in my other thread:

    My later father told me about this story, and I have now found the piece in the Scotsman archives on 29/9/1860 - note this was long before the Britishicon Army rifle trials etc.



    The boy was called James.

    How he could pick up another gun after this I don't know.

    Any other references to this gratefully received.
