the original wood grip scales had the cutter marks , once they were worn or sanded they became smooth like the repaired one in your photo , i agree with your replcaement in this case ,
the M3 scabbords marked with USN were made for the plastic navy trainer bayonets , not issued and thus abundant in great condition , still an excellent example of the genuine article ,
the M8 / M8A1 scabords with B.M.CO [beckwith] , PWH [philladelpia work house - for the blind] , V.P.CO [victory plastic] , TWB , VIZ , WP & WD , all are legit US mfgrs , and they fit everything in the picture below except my Ka-Bar and M1![]()
and one really does need a nice M9 to round thigs out , i have had a few , here are two , think i might have one left after the kids each took one to go with their ARs
