    6,3x53R mm Finnish hunting cartridge

This cartridge was developed before WW2 in Finlandicon by necking down the 7,62x54R to 6.3 mm. In Finland, this cartridge was used as a long range hunting cartridge. Post WW2 use continued until it was replaced by better cartridges. An old SAKO factory loading was a 70 gr bullet at 2936 fps.
