I obtained a barrelled receiver about 5 years ago, the receiver is marked "Saginaw SG" , no periods and no prime marks. S/N is 1832003, and I suspect it is one of those made at the Grand Rapids plant (after IP takeover), but shipped to the Saginaw plant for integration into their manufacturing. Ruth's book indicates these receivers were marked Saginaw S'G'.

I'm a member of the CC, joined in Jan 2004, and my Newletters don't go back far enough to check on reports of COM Saginaws in my S/N range. (NL246-1, 317-1,2, 122-7, 271-4)
It might have had an Underwood barrel either 2-43 or 4-43 on it when i got it.

Can anyone give me some hard data, as I would like to try and build this back into what it was, S'G' or S.G.?

Thanks
