What do weknow about these strange rifles? I apparently have one, is marked exactly like as stated in Poyer's book, (7.62 mm NATO M II) , but the book itself is kinda out of date, 2nd edition, 1997. He had very little to say about them other than how they're marked- has anything new come to light in the past 15 years?.
When Ibought it, it was (mis)reresented as a USN conversion, I believe unwittingly as it was from a reputable, old time dealer, at the defunct Great Western gun show.
