I picked up this 1942 Savage. It was dirty but in good shape. All parts I can see have the s mark so looks to be correct Savage. Has the ishy screw and FR stamped in the buttstock so my guess lend lease to India. No import marks so pre 68 import or bring back. No other accepance marks just the Savage marks and flaming bomb markings. Bore is bright and shiney. What do you all think. Also what to look for? I plan to tear this one down and clean the crud out of it. I don't plan to refinnish it just clean the dirt and put BLOicon on the wood.
