I`m looking at a 1942 Long Branch No.4 whose parts have all the LB stampings. The serial #
on the bolt handle, though correct to the rifle, is electro-penciled. No FTR`D markings on the rifle anywhere, but could this still be an FTR example? Faz. electro-penciled their serial #`s
during wartime and after, could this be a Fazackerly FTR.? Also, the foreend has been lightly sanded so the stock markings are not completely legible. The foreend is light and has the right receiver side cutout which i understand was for the early No. 4`s pending the mag. cutoff.
Did Long Branch use these early mag. cutoff stocks and if so, what years?? eg. `41-`42?
thanks, Phil.Information
