I'm quite happy to be the new caretaker of this one. I think it's very nice. Seems to all be here. The private view mark looks like an FB to me(1955). I couldn't find any traces of red paint on the hand guard but in the picture you can see little flakes of red paint that ended up in weird placesThe bore is absolutely perfect and like a mirror and the parts have very little wear. This rifle was handled way more than it was shot. I won't be shooting it though.
Is this another BNP stamp?
The cartouche is pretty nice but it looks like when the stock was carved out the cutters made a ripple effect along the side of the stock so it doesn't look in the pictures as nice as it is in the hand.
