    Post Help identifying M1 Carbine?

Can anyone help a newbie identify what kind of M1icon carbine I just bought at an auction. Looks from what I have researched that its a 6 digit Inland serial number Carbine.

Moderator Edit: Images that were posted indirectly from member's Flickr account were being blocked from appearing here. Our internal virus detection program found something in either the file-names, or embedded within the picture itself, which it wasn't happy about. By the way, Flickr is an awful service if you can avoid it.
