Help identifying M1 Carbine?

Can anyone help a newbie identify what kind of M1 carbine I just bought at an auction. Looks from what I have researched that its a 6 digit Inland serial number Carbine.

Our internal virus detection program found something in either the file-names, or embedded within the picture itself, which it wasn't happy about.
