Gents,
I just picked up a Vietnam era dated Scabbard, along with a "correct" type machete. I will post photos as they upload (form my camera).
Here is the blade to the machette..

Is this some sort of "catch" or a built in sharpener?


I gave $40.00 US for it... did I get beat?
It is in great condition, with the only issue is some light scratching from the belt hanger rivet rubbing on the blade.

This will make a nice pc to my Vietnam collection... if it is "correct"... what do you experts think?
