Well bad finances dictated selling my gorgeous Standard Products M1Carbine I sometimes carry on my high country power grid security contract, and are even necessitating selling my Kalifornicating legal M4 with hammerhead grip that I alternate with the carbine. This left me minus a long gun on counter terrorism patrol...not a good thing!
On the odd chance I do run into Achmed and his Mujahadeen buddies trying to shut out the lights for Sacramento, I decided to press my 602 clone into front line service. As I want to use my "legally possessed before 1 January 2000 high capacity magazines" I had to replace the "evil features" that make it a wicked assault rifle. I replaced the evil three prong flash hider with a Wilson Combat Comp (legal) and that dangerous pistol grip with a Hammerhead non-pistol grip. The hammerhead does not work as well on a full stock as it does on a CAR stock, where you can grasp it like an FN P90 grip. I will probably get a Kydex paddle for the pistol grip when I can afford it. They handle better with full stocks. Overall, it is still a handy sub-6 pound bundle of 5.56mm whoop-@ss!

With round A2 handguards

The "old man" who carries them:
I still haven't decided which handguards to use. I like the feel of the triangular, though they are a little loose. I hate to beat up such a pretty pair of mottled handguards, though, so right now I have the A2s on it. The A2s have no wiggle, which helps secure the weapon better, since the Hammerhead "underhand" grip is not very steady.Information
