On the top of bolt handle is marked a 9 I think and a 7. On the bottom is a punch mark and a R but the left side of the R is not punched very good so it's hard to see the R. According to Joe Poyer's book those are the markings for a Remington 1903A3 . But Also in his book it says that the area around the safety lug was cut away on a lathe instead of hand fitting that was done on a 1903 bolt. Mine does not have the cut out area around the safety lug like an 1903A3 bolt but it is stamped like one. I guess my bolt could be a transition bolt when Remington was changing from 1903 to 1903A3. Thanks
