Just acquired a very nice 1937 Ankara Turkishicon short rifle. Bent bolt with slotted stock, appears to be converted from a 1903 (high hump stripper clip slot) painted rack number of 28, and kar98az style front sight. All numbers match, bolt, receiver, rear sight. What's the story on these as far as rarity, combat use, if any? This is the first short rifle I've seen in the flesh. Really like it. Looking forward to some info on this one!
