    5 digit Inland

I went to a local gun show this morning and found only three M1icon carbines. I was deciding between a Saginaw and Inland and didn't really want the Saginaw because the muzzle swallowed a M2 round down to the casing. Well, I was about to put down the Inland as well when the seller asked me if I saw the serial number. I hadn't at that point but when I looked I saw a early 5 digit number. Never had my hands on a 5 digit before so it followed me home. It has been through rebuild with a Underwood 1944 barrel but I couldn't turn away on this one. Would this serial number place it early 1942? ...Serial 3382x
Will be taking some pics later but right now I can only find a faint edge of what may be the rebuild stamp box and nothing in the sling well. The hand guard is marked Pedersen U with ordnance bomb.
