    Actually Unprofor both Savage and longbranch did start with No. 4 Mk I but switched to the simplified body pretty quick. A Longbranch "no star" is high on my wish list although I do have a Savage. And DEB, if you're interested, there's a small publication (Lee Enfield Parts Catalogue, S.A.I.S. No. 23) that lists interchangeable parts between No. 1 and No. 4 rifles on page 24.
