G'day, firstly I'd like to say how greatfull I am to everyone on milsurps, the wealth of information on here is second to none & has answered most of my questions without having to ask any so far.
I have had "Enfielditis" for a long time & recently added a Lithgow.22 trainer & a BSA .22 trainer to the collection.
The lithgow works great, very happy with it but the BSA won't fire, it just dints the cartridge.
I swapped the bolts & the lithgow bolt works great in the BSA rifle & the BSA bolt does work in the lithgow rifle but not consistently , it still miss fires every second or third round.
I've noticed the spring tension in the lithgow bolt is a lot harder than the BSA bolt so do you think I need to replace the spring? And if so, is the spring the same as a standard .303 bolt spring? Or are the .22 trainer bolts set up differently? Or could it be something else that's causing the problem?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out, cheers.Information
